Demographic
majority, sovereignty of Sindh, right to rule the land and rights over natural
resources are the foundation of contemporary Sindhi nationalism. This chapter
analyze the various aspects of nationalist movements, their mode of struggle as
well as their achievements, weaker areas and failures.
This
chapter also deal with the various militant connotations of nationalist and
liberation movement in Sindh during 2002 – 2012. Besides, it entails the
massive people’s protest for the freedom of Sindh; and review the state’s
counter military operations and actions against these movements.
There is growing change of thought
in Sindh for the securities concerning better future of Sindh. Sindhi middle
class and intelligentsia have new aspirations and designs for the future of Sindh,
which they express in their various expressions. This chapter gives an
analytical account of this.
